Horse tips and fashion tips go hand in hand at Cairns’ premier social event, the 52nd Cairns Amateur Racing Carnival at Cannon Park Race Course. This is the biggest racing meet in Queensland outside Brisbane with tens of thousands of locals and visitors. Ladies Day is on the Friday and Cup Day on the Saturday. Townsville Gamefishing Club Billfish Challenge 2010 – 3-8 September 2010
Teams of four set out to tag the most billfish in the tropical waters off Townsville. Competition is stiff with sort after prize money. On the first day, competitors attend a "Meet and Greet". Following Saturday`s shotgun start at 7.30am, there are four days of fishing with finger food provided at Townsville Yacht Club some evenings. Richmond Campdraft – 3-5 September 2010

The 4th annual Sailing Regatta at beautiful Magnetic Island, this 5-day event is a series of buoy course, passage and around the island races for racing and cruising yachts.
